But much like their human counterparts, the demand for canine blood transfusion is also on a steady rise. While canine blood donation is not unheard of, there is a serious lack of awareness surrounding the subject.
A dog having a seizure will often fall over, chomp teeth, salivate, or drool and whine, paddle with their feet, or even lose control of their bladders and bowels. Even the eyes become dilated and unresponsive.

What causes seizures?
Today, there is a growing trend of considering pets as full-fledged family members. We include them in family photos, take them on holidays, ensure they are loved and cared for, fed well, exercised well and given special treatment when unwell. We even go so far as to call them fur babies and ourselves—pet parents. On 16th March every year, India observes ‘National Vaccination Day’, also known as ‘National Immunisation Day’ to emphasize the importance of vaccinations. Vaccines function by introducing the body to viruses, bacteria or disease-causing organisms that have been killed or altered to prepare the immune system to defend itself. ?Vaccination cycles then stimulate the body’s immune system to form antibodies (disease-fighting cells) and thus encourage the body to build up an immunity against those viruses or diseases.
Just as a child looks to his parents for guidance and limits, your dog looks to you for the same. Be calm, assertive, and consistent with the boundaries you set for your dog. Enforce strict rules and do so knowing that it instinctively makes your dog feel more comfortable.

Dogs bark to communicate a variety of different messages - warnings, greetings, an expression of playfulness or a general call for attention. This is normal. However, you may face certain situations where you feel your pet barks excessively. Try identifying what triggers the behaviour and use systematic desensitisation and counter-conditioning techniques.
Here are some tips to control or reduce excessive barking
Dogs, and puppies in particular, are friendly and have their own way of wanting to greet people when they see them. The tricky part is teaching them that it is good to greet people, but not by jumping up.
If you have a “sofa dog,” it can be nice to curl up with him or her in front of the TV, and if you’re away, he or she may also find comfort on the couch because it smells like you.
Dogs are “pack” animals and think of their human family members as pack mates. When you allow your dog on your sofa or bed, instinct tells them they are equal or above the humans in the pack hierarchy. This may lead to territorial behaviour.
Behavioural problems are much more common with sofa dogs than non-sofa dogs.
It's natural for dog owners to use treats and rewards when they're training their dogs. Many times this strategy works fine, but, in some cases, the opposite happens: the dog has the owner well -trained to give him treats. Your dog will only do something if he sees a yummy treat in your hand and he won't perform a desired behaviour unless he thinks he's going to get a treat.
